On June 11, 2024, we received an inquiry and established contact with the customer through WeChat. After communication, we learned that this customer often does business in China and has purchased a large number of products from China. The requirements for this purchase were relatively simple, and the products only needed to be mailed to Foshan, Guangdong. It took only 10 days from the first communication to the final payment.

The customer initially sent two pictures, one of which was the requirements for the bridge crane kit and the other was the design drawing of a bridge crane of a certain company. After careful study, we found that the two pictures were not directly related because they corresponded to 1-ton and 5-ton bridge cranes respectively. However, the customer insisted that the two pictures described the same product and firmly believed that this was exactly what he needed. Obviously, the customer was not familiar with these technical details, and his limited English made our communication quite difficult.

Fortunately, the customer made it clear that he needed a 1-ton electric chain hoist, and we immediately quoted him the price of a 1-ton hoist. Unexpectedly, the customer completed the payment very quickly. When we reviewed the information and pictures sent by the customer again, we decided to tentatively ask him if he needed accessories such as wires and C-shaped steel. The customer did not give a clear answer, but only emphasized that he needed all the contents mentioned in the information. At this time, the customer was quite irritable and blamed us for not accurately understanding his needs. However, the customer himself did not know what was included in our quotation.

After we shared photos of the bridge crane products, the customer had a general understanding of this product and gradually understood our problem. Later, the customer sent a design drawing of the bridge crane, which revealed the previous misunderstanding – he accidentally sent a 1-ton drawing as a 5-ton drawing, and the lack of understanding of the product led to the initial ineffective communication. In the end, the customer purchased additional sliding wire products. At present, the customer has successfully received all the goods.
