Electric chain hoists and electric wire rope hoists are both called electric hoists, but their prefixes represent that they are very different, and they have many differences in use.
Differences between wire rope electric hoists and chain hoists:
Transmission medium: The transmission medium of electric chain hoists is chain, and the transmission medium of electric wire rope hoists is wire rope;
Lifting height: The lifting height of chain electric hoists is low, and is generally only suitable for lifting heavy objects of a few meters, while wire rope electric hoists can lift heavy objects of dozens of meters;
Lifting capacity: The wire rope can bear tens of tons of weight and is mostly used in large coal mines, bridges and other places; while the chain electric hoist is often used for engineering lifting in small and medium-sized enterprises;
Running speed: The running speed of the chain electric hoist is relatively slow; while the running speed of the wire rope electric hoist can be several times that of the chain;
Volume: Since the wire rope of the electric wire rope hoist is wound on the drum, the overall size is relatively large; the chain of the electric chain hoist is stored in the chain bag, and there is no huge drum, so the size is small.
